About Us and Our Church

What We Believe.

We serve Christ in many different ways at GKUPC, but at the heart of all that we do week by week is our faith in Jesus Christ. Our gathering for worship on Sunday and other times is an important expression of our faith. Come and see for yourself, you are assured of a warm welcome and you may just find it transforms your life.

Our People.

GKUPC operates a team ministry as part of the West Angus Area Ministry (WAAM). As well as our Ministers we recognise the gifts and talents of our congregation and friends, many of whom are actively involved in the life of the church.

Our worship takes place in the sanctuaries at Kirriemuir and Cortachy, and in our linked congregation at Tannadice. Services from Kirriemuir and Tannadice are also livestreamed to the internet. Links are available from our Facebook Group, YouTube Channel and from within this website.

Messy Church.

Messy Church has been running since October 2010 and has proven very popular with our young families. It has a relaxed style with little formality which appeals to folk with young children who enjoy the freedom to move around. We also have a number of teenagers who come along to take part and to help out.

Both of these contain a wealth of current information and are worth subscribing to. If you would like to be added to our e-mailing list, please get in touch with the Church Office.

History of the Church

Ninth-century stones were found when the church was rebuilt on this earlier Christian site in 1788 to a design by James Playfair, father of William Henry Playfair. The 17 stained glass windows include the Last Supper, a memorial window to Violet Jacob, and windows by William Wilson.
