First Prize . . . Derek Ramsay

“Squirrel in Winter”

Top favourite with visitors to this year’s exhibition, this squirrel in the snow took a moment to crack open a hazelnut found on the floor of a local woodland. Derek was ready and waiting !

Second Prize . . . Malcolm McBeath

“Morning Walk, Kinnordy”

Not surprisingly, this beautiful image of man and dog emerging into the early autumn sunshine was another popular choice with the competition voters.

Third Equal . . . Brian Forsyth

“Bonfire Night on Kirrie Hill”

Brian captured this November event as it returned in all its glory to Kirriemuir Hill. Not an easy subject to photograph, Brian said he was lucky to capture just the right moment.

Third Equal . . . Neil Houstoun

“Glen Prosen”

Neil’s image, taken at fading light in Glen Prosen, evokes that peaceful ‘golden hour’ with the layers of rolling Angus hills gathering mist at the end of the day.

Third Equal . . . Malcolm McBeath

“Peter Pan, Kirrie Square”

Malcolm has captured that heart-warming December atmosphere as Peter plays his pipe in the glow of the town’s Christmas tree. Now who wouldn’t want that their wall as Christmas 2023 approaches?

Not just twelve beautiful Images . .

Altogether this exceptional calendar has a wide selection of views, subjects and seasons, all taken in and around the Kirriemuir area.

As well as the main monthly images, there are a further twelve smaller pictures which came so close in the voting that we have included them as smaller bonus pictures with each month.

Calendars are still only £5.00 each to purchase (how do we do it? you ask) and are now available from the Church Office as well as the Post Office, Pixie Dust, Paper Chain, Oslers, Paul’s Hair Studio, Northmuir Shop, Autosales, the Westmuir Shoppie and Moments Card & Gift Shop !
